Throughout history the recording of female life has almost enitely been neglected. It is only in modern history that women seem to have done anything impressive enough to be recognized.
So how can we get a glimpse into the world of some historic women? Well, through art of course dear reader. Through portraits we can analyse their status and profession through a look at their accessories, background and facial expressions.
